Director of Operations
Michelle was raised in Massachusetts and now lives in Portsmouth with her husband, two children, and their golden retriever. She earned her degree in dental hygiene in 2007 and brings nearly two decades of clinical and leadership experience to our team. Her commitment to patient care and team development is reflected in her dual role as both a clinician and Director of Operations. She takes pride in supporting the practice’s growth, maintaining high standards, and ensuring that every patient feels valued and at ease.
Kylee
Insurance Coordinator
Kylee joined the dental field in 2019 and brings a warm, compassionate approach to her role. With a strong passion for helping patients, she works hard to make every step of the dental experience as smooth and stress-free as possible. Whether she is helping families navigate their insurance or comforting a nervous little one, her goal is always to ensure patients feel supported and cared for. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Aubrey, her fiancé, Brandon, and their dog, Cooper.
Ciara
Dental Assistant
Ciara began her career in the dental field in 2018 and has developed a strong foundation in patient care and clinical support. She is proficient in a wide range of clinical duties, including placing sealants, chairside assisting, sterilization, and maintaining operatory flow. Her calm, reassuring presence and commitment to quality care make her a trusted member of our clinical team. Outside of the office, Ciara enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.
Olivia
Dental Assistant
Olivia became a Dental Assistant in 2022 and brings valuable experience in both Oral Surgery and General Dentistry to the Newport Pediatric Dentistry team. She is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care and supporting a positive experience for every patient.
Olivia resides in Bristol, Rhode Island with her husband, Victor, and their children, Eden and Thais. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family. She also shares her home with their dog, Cali, and two cats. In her free time, Olivia enjoys culinary exploration, caring for plants, and traveling to tropical destinations.
Rachel
Dental Assistant
Rachel began her journey in dentistry three years ago after transitioning from a career in international business, where she discovered her true passion for helping people feel confident in their smiles. Fluent in Italian, Spanish, and English, she connects naturally with patients from diverse backgrounds as she works toward becoming a dental hygienist. Outside of the office, Rachel loves spending time in the kitchen cooking or enjoying Pilates, two activities that keep her grounded and inspired.
Taysha
Dental Assistant
Taysha began her career in the dental field in 2021 and has been dedicated to helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles ever since. She loves seeing the joy on patients’ faces, especially when they leave with a healthy, bright smile. One of her favorite aspects of her work is caring for children and creating a fun, positive experience during their visits.
She completed three years of Dental Assisting studies and is both radiology certified and licensed. Currently, she is continuing her education with plans to pursue a career in dental hygiene. Teamwork is a core value for Taysha, and she takes pride in being part of a supportive, family-oriented dental team.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Taysha comes from a Brazilian-American background. She is fluent in Portuguese and understands Spanish.
Outside of the office, Taysha enjoys spending time with her family, going on nature walks, watching thriller movies, enjoying Chinese food, and cuddling with her dog.
Milla
Operative Assistant
Milla joined our team as an operative assistant and quickly became a valued member of our clinical staff. She brings a strong passion for working with children and is committed to making their dental experiences positive. Originally from Brazil, Milla is fluent in Portuguese and brings a warm, welcoming presence to our diverse patient community. Before entering the dental field, she practiced law in Brazil, and her professionalism and dedication shine through in all she does.
Tania
Lead Dental Assistant
Tania serves as our Clinical Manager and is a vital part of our team. As one of our skilled operative assistants, she plays a key role in supporting both patients and staff throughout the day. Fluent in Spanish, Tania is especially valued for her ability to connect with a diverse range of patients, including those with special needs. Her compassionate approach and calm presence help ensure every patient has a comfortable and positive experience.
Jacob
Operative Assistant
Jacob serves as our Lead Operative Assistant and plays an essential role in ensuring our clinical operations run smoothly. In addition to his work in the office, he is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree at the University of Rhode Island, balancing his academic and professional goals with dedication and focus. Fluent in Spanish, Jacob is a valuable asset to our diverse patient community. His strong work ethic, leadership, and ability to connect with patients make him a key part of our team.
Layla, CDA
Dental Assistant
Layla is a dedicated dental assistant with a natural talent for working with children. Her gentle and patient approach helps our young patients feel safe and comfortable during their visits. She enjoys creating a positive, fun environment that makes dental care less intimidating and more encouraging.
Layla earned her Certified Dental Assistant in 2023. She is bilingual in English and Cambodian. Outside of work, Layla enjoys spending quality time with her family and is expecting her first child.
Jerry
Sterilization Technician and Compliance Officer
Born and raised in Texas, Jerry brings his warm personality and dedication to our dental team. He moved to the area and quickly became a valued member of our office. As our sterilization technician, Jerry ensures that every instrument is meticulously cleaned and ready for patient care, keeping safety at the forefront. Jerry is multilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and Portuguese. He especially enjoys working with children at the office, helping to make their dental visits comfortable and fun. Outside of work, he enjoys sports, hiking, and spending time with his wife Tania. Jerry takes pride in supporting the team and creating a safe, welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
Damaris
Dental Assistant
Damaris began her journey with our office as a sterilization technician and quickly proved herself to be a dedicated and hardworking team member. She now takes the lead on most of our radiographs and is known for her professionalism, attention to detail, and reliability. Outside of the office, Damaris enjoys giving back to her community through volunteer work at her church.
Olivia
Sterilization Technician
Olivia works per diem at our office while pursuing her college degree at the University of New Hampshire. She is cross trained as both an administrative team member and a sterilization technician, bringing flexibility and value to every part of the practice. Her positive energy and attention to detail help create a smooth and welcoming experience for every patient. Olivia is a true asset to our team and plays a key role in making each visit feel just a little more magical.
Eunice
Dental Assistant
Eunice works part-time at our office and brings over 12 years of dental experience. She has a passion for working with children and assisting with oral surgery. She is known for her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and high energy. With her experience, Eunice supports many areas of the practice, including operative maintenance, sealants, sterilization, chairside assisting, and helping the clinical team stay on schedule. She is currently taking courses to become a dental hygienist, and we are proud to support her continued growth in the field.
Sonia
Dental Assistant
Sonia works per diem as a dental assistant and brings her skills to various areas of the practice, including operative assisting, taking radiographs, and supporting the clinical floor. She has a special interest in orthodontics and enjoys working with children of all ages.
