Dr. Faith Drennon grew up in Rome, Georgia. She earned her undergraduate degree in Microbiology at the University of Georgia (2001) and is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry (2006).  After five years practicing General Dentistry in a private Pediatric Dental Practice, she found that working with children was her passion. She completed a two year Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry at Boston University (2013). In addition to routine care, Dr. Drennon has had extensive training in the management of patients with complex dental, medical, developmental, and behavioral issues such as:

 

  • Patients with autism, cerebral palsy, attention deficit disorder, Down syndrome, ectodermal dysplasia, and many other developmental and behavioral conditions

  • Patients with seizure disorders, heart disease, diabetes, malignancy, blood disorders, and many other medical conditions.

Dr. Drennon joined Newport Pediatric Dentistry in 2013. Dr. Kates retired in July 2013 and he chose

Dr. Drennon as his successor, and new owner of Newport Pediatric Dentistry.

 

Dr. Drennon continues her education through her memberships to the Hinman Dental Society, ADA, Rhode Island Dental Association, AAPD, and the Northern District Dental Society.

 

She enjoys aerobics, running, pilates, yoga, hiking, traveling,  local music, trying new restaurants, movies, reading, animals, spending time with family, nephew, Henry, and friends!

 

Dr. Drennon and her husband, Mike, have 2 sons, Michael and Mack, who we welcomed in 2015 and 2017.
