Dr. Faith Drennon was raised in Rome, Georgia. She earned her undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Georgia in 2001 and went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry, in 2006.

 

After five years practicing general dentistry in a private pediatric dental office, Dr. Drennon discovered her true passion for working with children. She went on to complete a two year Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry at Boston University in 2013.

 

Dr. Drennon has extensive experience providing comprehensive care to children, including those with complex dental, medical, developmental, and behavioral needs. Her training includes managing care for patients with conditions such as:

 

  • Autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, attention deficit disorder, Down syndrome, ectodermal dysplasia, and other developmental and behavioral diagnoses

  • Medical conditions including seizure disorders, congenital heart disease, diabetes, malignancies, and blood disorders

 

Dr. Drennon joined Newport Pediatric Dentistry in 2013. Upon the retirement of Dr. Kates in July of that year, she was honored to be chosen as his successor and the new owner of the practice.

 

She is committed to ongoing professional development and is an active member of the Hinman Dental Society, the American Dental Association (ADA), the Rhode Island Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), and the Northern District Dental Society.

 

Outside the office, Dr. Drennon enjoys running, aerobics, pilates, yoga, hiking, traveling, live music, trying new restaurants, reading, movies, and spending time with family, friends and her nephew Henry.

 

She and her husband, Mike, have two sons, Michael born in 2015 and Mack born in 2017.
